PES 2009 Info!

News about the upcoming PES game due to be released in October 2008 has emerged. The info has come from a German games magazine Play3 who have played an early build of the game.

Early version ran very smoothly and seemed very polished
Improved player response with quicker passing
AI improvements resulting in more aggressive play and better positioning
AI particularly good in defence
New manual pass control…“If your team is in control of the ball the AI is in position of the player with the ball… but as soon as you press L1 you can control the player with the ball”. (I'm Assuming No More Analogue Manual Pass)
The new passing system only sounds complicated at first but it's really easy to adapt.
Player models look better
A few new animations (Players wave with there hands to ask for the ball, you can see players stumble to the ground, players slide especially longer on wet grass)
Players reactions to weather is changed… balls are hard to control, shots become harder to catch for goalkeepers and it is harder to pass correctly, even the super players do things you would expect them not to
New mode which allows you to use your saved file online

Well, that's quite descriptive! What save file will you be able to use online? I hope players get up quicker from slide tackles and I really hope you will be able to pass to a player accurately in the rain when they're 5 yards away! I also heard that the Master League menu has not changed but we're gonna have to wait...

Just 2 new screenshots have been released for PES 2009 recently, Click Here and Here to view them. Messi will feature on this years cover of the game, that will "probably" mean he will run, dribble and shoot like him in real life.

Arsenal!

Today (Sunday) is my first Arsenal match and I can't wait to see the stars on the pitch, albeit from a distance. Hopefully, I'll see "The English Messi" in action aswell as "The Mexican Whizzkid" and the Real Madrid team too. Adebayor is staying don't know why!! He should leave, but that's just my opinion.

Arsenal and Need for Speed: Undercover

Arsenal

Arsenal came back from behind against Stuttgart tonight with Vela, Bendtner and Wilshere getting on the score sheet for us. They were all good goals. Ramsey had a solid performance, Wilshere impressed and Nasri too with his first appearance for the club. Stuttgart had chances but did not put them away.

Need for Speed: Undercover

After a dismal EA game called Need for Speed: ProStreet, the next one after is called Need for Speed: Undercover, the teaser trailer for the game looks pretty good and I'm pretty sure my sexy wife, Christina Milian will feature in the game too. Apparently, the game will go back to a Need for Speed: Most Wanted-ish style of gameplay, which was pretty good. Let's hope this one makes up for the calamity of a game that was Need for Speed: ProStreet.

I Knew It, Firmware 2.42 and Trophy System

I Knew It

I knew LittleBigPlanet would win at least one E3 award from the popular gaming sites.1UP announced that the game was "Game of the Show", while G4 gave its "Best Game of E3" award to LittleBigPlanet. Many other blogs and sites believe LBP to be the best game that was on show at E3 also. Gametrailers on the other hand chose Resident Evil 5 to be their best game of E3.

Firmware 2.42

An unannounced firware update is available on the PSN, let's hope this doesn't brick some PS3s, like 2.40 did a few weeks ago. There doesn't appear to be anything new on the XMB. The official word is: "This update improves the playback quality of some Playstation 3 and PlayStation format software." Maybe, this is a little "Security" or "Stability" update.

Trophy System

To be honest, I think the Trophy System on the PS3 is a bit shabby and rushed. Certain games are just copying the in game award system. Uncharted for example, descriptions of certain Trophies, like killing fifty enemies in a row without dying should be familiar to those that already earned those medals in the game. I am sceptical of the Trophy System, hopefully it will get better.

Upcoming PS3 Titles

The most highly anticipated PS3 title of this year is most probably LittleBigPlanet. You know the one I've been going on about since I started my blog. Well, many people are very eager to play LBP, I mean, just look at the comments on my YouTube videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_05RAvUbTiI). Various comments on my other videos are "When does this come out!" or "I'm going to make a level with 10 million bosses" or what ever.. Let me just say now, the game comes out in October of this year, not next year, this year 2008! Also, you can make any kind of level you want, you can make a level with hundreds of bosses or a level with loads of puzzles, you can even put a storyline into your level the possibilities are limitless. But anyway I have high hopes for LittleBigPlanet, please don't let me down Media Molecule.

Other titles people can't wait to get their hands on include, Call of Duty 5: World at War, it's being developed by Treyarch not Infinity Ward but will be powered by an enhanced version of Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, there will be flamethrowers in this one and improvements have been made to the physics model.

Further titles include, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X, MAG (Massive Action Game) and God of War 3 all of which will be released next year.

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X is basically a combat flight simulator game, think along the lines of Top Gun or Warhawk and you've got the picture, for people that don't know what I'm talking about it's a game where you fly various fighter jets and fight to the death in the sky, only I think this game will be a hit with gamers. This will be available on the Sh*tbox 360 too.

Not much is known about MAG however, I can tell you that it is a shooter and you can play online. But this won't be like any other online shooter, no way Jose, you will be able to play in online battles with up to 256 players, thanks to new server architecture. Now, God of War 3. I have never played any previous God of War games in my life! Most probably because I don't like hack & slash games that much. You're probably wondering why are you talking about it then? Well, the reason is, alot of people love this game so I thought I would give it a little mention, all I can tell you is that it's a hack & slash game and is planned to be released late 2009 here's a more detailed description http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_of_war_3.

Football

The transfer market this season has been hectic! We've already seen great players come and go, for example, Ronaldinho to AC Milan, Robbie Keane to Liverpool and so on. Robbie Keane to Liverpool, to be honest I never saw it coming. Poor Tottenham fans will be devastated ha ha! Liverpool fans are already singing his name for some reason. Berbatov might leave, he might be off to Man Utd! I sincerely hope not because then Man U will be a truly formidable force. I can see David Villa going to Tottenham now that Robbie Keane has left. Gilberto Silva left The Arsenal sad to see him leave. But our young guns will step up this season in my opinion, we might even go unbeaten once again! I hope we sign David Villa before the spuds get him, and please Arsene get rid of Gallas & the Togo Twat, they're flipping fools. Congratulations to Arsenal yesterday, for winning 2-10 against a bunch of "Sunday league footballers" from Austria. It was a good run out for our youngsters though with Ramsey, Vela and Wilshere putting on a good display of what they can do, I am proud of them.

Randomness

Alot of my friends are on holiday or are going on holiday this week and I would just like to wish them a pleasant flight and that they enjoy there time away. Also, I'm starting to think some of my close friends are gay! I have nothing against gay people by the way but my friends are acting a bit weird aren't they Gandalf The Grey (private joke). This weather in London is great so I believe we should make the most of it, if you are not going away for the summer.

Arsenal, LittleBigPlanet and PlayTV

Arsenal

Right lets start off with Arsenal, today sees the goons up against a team from Austria called Burgenland? Who? Well, not much is known about them I think they're just a bunch of men from that province (no offence) and I can't Wait! But anyway, it will probably be our young guns at play. I look forward to watching Jack Wilshere, Carlos Vela, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Paul Rodgers and hopefully Samir Nasri our latest "big name" aquisition. They are just a few of our promising talents that Mr. Wenger will most probably not fritter away like the ones of pastures last, however the ones that do play, that I didn't mention will probably leave in a few years or even months or they could just stay on till they are old and frail. My guess is Arsenal will win quite comfortably, maybe 6-1 or maybe Burgenland might destroy us...

LittleBigPlanet

Now, this game is a must buy when it comes out in october, it's a PS3 exclusive so if you don't have a PS3 (like me), just play on your friends PS3, (like me). But if you don't want to be like me you can buy, steal or fraud your way into getting a PS3. To play the game you need to be creative because that is what the game is mostly based on creativity. You can make your own levels, play them through and if you don't like something in a level, you can edit it to however you want to. You can then share your level with the world and post it up on the PSN where people will be able to download it, play through it and then give their feedback on how your level was by tagging it with a certain word e.g Boring, Hard, Easy etc. Media Molecule announced that users will be able to charge people for their levels so you can make money off making levels how good is that!? Apparently, you will have to build up your rep as a great level creator before you will be able to charge for created levels. Ha Ha Sh*tbox 360 owners you dont have that. And what's with Microsoft copying the other major consoles with avatars and a new store upgrade and what ever else they upgraded! I'll save that for another day. "PlayTV is a twin-channel DVB-T tuner peripheral with digital video recorder (DVR) software which allows users to watch and record television programs to the hard drive of a PlayStation 3 console for later viewing" - Wikipedia.

So basically, it's a freeview box.. But not just a freeview box! You'll be able to record, pause, rewind and watch TV on your PSP through the magical powers of the Playstation 3 (and Wi-Fi). PlayTV will also let you watch TV in HD and SD plus you can record TV shows or what ever whilst playing games. Radio stations will be available too. Of course if you record something it will be saved to the HDD of your PS3, my advice is to get a bigger hard drive in time for PlayTV. There will be an EPG (Electronic Program Guide) it's pretty nice, it's like Sky's TV guide, there will be the ability to turn on/off subtitles and audio description and loads more. PlayTV will cost roughly £80 and will be available in the UK September 2008 with other european countries following soon after, not sure about regions over the pond.

My First Blog!

Hello readers! This is my first blog entry so I hope not to disappoint but if I disappoint you oh well.

Well the main purpose of this blog is to update people who are fans of the Sony Playstation series. From time to time I will update you of a particular game or games or just "Anything Playstation" that might interest me or that might interest fans of Playstation.

Right now the game that interests me the most is on Playstation 3 only and is due to be released in october of this year, it's called LittleBigPlanet.
